The Tree Company can install artificial hollows in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs suitable for housing native fauna – birds, possums, owls, etc. In addition to externally-attached nesting boxes, we can also cut into stems and branches, giving a more natural finish, improving insulation and making them less obvious to predators. Nesting boxes have a variety of applications and can be targeted to specific wildlife species. Our intention is to replace some of the habitat that is being lost, for the benefit of local animals, and by extension, our tree population in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs.
These images relate to a recent habitat reduction job on a mature River Red Gum in Macleod, Victoria.
